Venu Udugula, the director of 'Needi Naadi Oke Katha' and the yet-to-be-released 'Viraata Parvam', is now a producer. He is now producing an Aha Original, which is an adaptation of the legendary Chalam's literary magnum opus 'Maidanam'. Helmed by Kavi Siddharth, the web series will be a socially-conscious period drama.
Speaking about the decision to adapt the classic, Venu said that the 1927 novel brought out the angst of women in the pre-Independence society with a touch of poetry. Saying that it was not at all easy for anyone to do full justice to the acclaimed novel, the producer added that the web series will be special.
Produced by Venu Udugula Production House, this one has music by Suresh Bobbili and cinematography by Gnanasekhar VS, who is currently producing 'Gamanam'. Editing is by A Sreekar Prasad.
