Filmmakers and producers have been unnerved by the pandemic, especially those who have had to shoot medium-range and big-ticket movies. 'Love Story' went on the floors last August after a gap of several months. At that time, coronavirus was still continuing with its dance. This made Sekhar Kammula, who had been participating in covid relief activities, to devise a proper plan for the well-being of people on the sets.
As many as 95 individuals worked on the Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi starrer in 24 crafts. Kammula ensured that they all were tested using RT-PCR before they came on sets. "Nobody who was tested positive, would be asked to attend work. On the sets, sanitization was adhered to religiously. Face shields and masks were in use all the time," a source says.
Every 15 days, multi-vitamin tablets were distirbuted to one and all to help them boost their immunity. Besides, protein-rich foods were also given.
Kammula also got the individuals insured for up to Rs 3 lakh. Since nobody got infected, the insurance was not availed.
The film's new release date is yet to be announced.
