Here is a piece of sad news. Hamsa Nandini is undergoing chemotherapy after she was recently diagnosed with Hereditary Breast Cancer.
This type of breast cancer was diagnosed after a tumour was diagnosed in her breast and was removed surgically four months ago. The doctors had confirmed that there was no spread and that she was lucky to have caught it early.
However, the good news turned out to be transient. She was later diagnosed to have Hereditary Breast Cancer. She has a 70% chance of another breast cancer, besides a 45% chance of Ovarian Cancer throughout her life.
Very extensive prophylactic surgeries have to be undergone by her in the coming months.
