'Dharmasthali' is the title of an upcoming movie starring Shakalaka Shankar in the lead. A mass commercial entertainer directed by Ramana Mogili, it has Pavani as the heroine.
As per the makers, its trailer (unveiled earlier today) has been receiving an encouraging response. "There is a rationale behind the title. Our film talks about a real issue that has been plaguing our society. The title 'Dharmasthali' is apt," the director said.
The makers added that this is the first time that Shankar has done in a mass entertainer of this sort. "His comedy has been explored by many filmmakers. 'Dharmasthali' has mined his intensity. We have raised a relevant and topical issue," they added.
Mani Bhattacharya, Sunny Singh, Sayaji Shinde, Dhanraj, Bhupal and others are part of the cast. Story, screenplay and dialogues are by Rajendra Bharadwaj. Cinematography is by GL Babu. Music is by Vinod Yajamanya.
