South siren Samantha Akkineni has resumed the shooting of Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam. Touted to be an epic love story, the periodic film will see the Manam actress essay the role of Shakuntala while Malayalam actor Dev Mohan will play Dushyanta.
Now, the latest update is that Samantha is looking for a million bucks and will look her career best in this film. The way her costumes have been designed will show the actress in a regal avatar.
Directed by Gunasekhar, Shaakuntalam will spin around the epic love story of King Dushyanta and Shakuntala.
It is said to be based on Kalidasa's epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Teamworks banner, the makers have begun the second schedule lately.
