Days after ordering oxygen plants from the US and France, actor-humanitarian Sonu Sood today said that the first two plants as part of his mission would be set up in Kurnool and Nellore at once. The Andhra districts will be the earliest beneficiaries of his large-hearted gesture. Permissions from the municipal commissioner, the collector, and other relevant authorities have already been acquired.
One plant will be installed at the Kurnool Government Hospital. The other one will be put up at Nellore. The district collector S Ramsundar Reddy of Kurnool said that the oxygen plant arranged by him will help in treating 150 to 200 Covid patients at Kurnool Government Hospital every day.
Sonu Sood feels that the plants are the need of the hour to improve healthcare, especially in the rural areas. A few more plants in a few more other states will be installed in the next two months.
