At a time when the Raghu Rama Krishna Raju case is making news because the rebel MP was allegedly beaten up by CID cops in custody, Ram Gopal Varma has drawn a parallel with cops in Hyderabad beating delivery boys of Zomato, Swiggy and others.
Taking to Twitter, the director said, "If RRR beating by police could go to the Supreme Court, can the beating by Telangana cops of Swiggy, Zomato, and oxygen carriers etc also be taken to same Supreme Court? Or common people don’t have the same right?" The controversial director ended the tweet with the words 'Just saying'.
He then sarcastically said that his sincere request to all people who got beaten up by police is not to take inspiration from the YCP rebel MP issue and file cases on police. "The police people are like your own mothers. They don’t beat you out of arrogance, but they beat you out of pure love," the filmmaker tweeted with a tinge of sarcasm.
