'Uttara Dakshin', starring Chaitanya Varma, Harika Varma, Vinay Kashyap, Rocky, Harika, Satish Saripalli, Shruti Mehar, Jaya Naidu, Lalitha Josyula, Mohan Rao and others, is directed by Raju Pathla. Produced by K Tarun and JSS Raju Pathla, the demo film has been streaming on the YouTube channel of Shade Studios. The premiere of the short film was held yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, actor-producer DS Rao said that the director has spotted superb acting talent. "I have watched the movie with full concentration. The theme is superb and it's a must-watch film," he added.
Producer Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana said, "The short film is amazing. Even though the actors are newcomers, they have done a splendid job. I am ready to produce a movie with the director."
Shade Studios Head Devi Prasad said, "Ten years ago, when I was making short films, I didn't know where to release them and whom to approach. I was clueless. I have seen the demo film 'Uttara Dakshin'. This is the best sort of demo film I have seen so far. The subject is quite interesting. Coming to what we do at our Studios, we will provide them with everything that is required for post-production works if we like the concept. A lot of people run out of the budget after the shoot."
Director Raju Pathla said, "I thank Raj Kandukuri garu, Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana garu and DS Rao garu for their support. Shukran garu has been a great source of support. This is a 26-minute-long demo project. It's an emotional subject and there is a 1.5 hours long story left. We are happy that our film is a hit on YouTube."
Released on October 8, the short film has cinematography by M Siva Kumar. Editing and DI are by Sai Kiran. Music is by Sai Deva Harsha. Sung by Krishna Bharadwaj, dubbing is by Rhythm Studio.
