In 2020, during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, media reports claimed that Mahesh Babu would be playing the character Siddha in the movie. The role was eventually played by Ram Charan. But Mahesh's association with 'Acharya' is now a reality, albeit in a different form.
The news is that the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor is lending his voice for 'Acharya'. He has been roped in as the film's narrator. Mahesh is not only friends with Charan but also admires Chiranjeevi. Moreover, he has previously worked with Koratala Siva on 'Srimanthudu' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu'.
The voice-over will add charm to the film.
'Acharya', produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment, will head to theatres on April 29.
