Regina Cassandra's and Nivetha Thomas' next film is a Telugu remake of the Korean thriller 'Midnight Runners'. Titled 'Saakini Daakini', the film is going to skip OTT and will be directly released in theatres. We are saying it is skipping an OTT release because Suresh Productions had been planning to release it on some streaming giant for many months.
Also produced by Guru Films and Kross Pictures Film, the Sudheer Varma-directed drama will arrive at the cinemas on September 16. The date is yet to be made official.
The title of the film is a mocking spin on the names of its main characters: Shalini and Daamini.
With music by Mikey McCleary, 'SD' has cinematography by Richard Prasad. Viplav Nyshadam and Gandhi Nadikudikar have helmed the editing and cinematography departments.
