The makers of 'GodFather' today said that the Chiranjeevi-starrer grossed Rs 38 Cr on Wednesday (Day 1's worldwide figure). The political action thriller is a remake of 'Lucifer' (Malayalam).
Super Good Films and Konidela Production Company are happy with the response. "The opening figure is big. 'GodFather' had a limited release," the producers said about the performance of the Mohan Raja directorial.
The ticket prices were not hiked, unlike in the case of 'Acharya', in the Telugu States. No hires have been included to calculate the collections, the makers said.
'GodFather', co-starring Nayanthara, Satya Dev and Salman Khan, is going strong in A centres as well, the makers added. They are also counting on the holiday season.
