AP Fiber Net Chairman Goutham Reddy today said that the organization is providing the audience a chance to watch the 'first day first show' of Telugu films at home. As part of the endeavour of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, AP Fiber Net is going to bring new movies directly to people living in towns and remote villages.

"We are providing internet services in the State at a low price like nowhere else in India. We are not against the commercial interests of star actors and producers. APSFL (Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited) has connected rural areas of AP. People in villages will also get a chance to watch the movie on the release day," he said on Friday.

APFDC Chairman Posani Krishna Murali said, "I like the concept. If even a big hero like Chiranjeevi has a theatrical release, it will now become accessible to people."

AP Electronic Media Advisor and comedian Ali suggested that this disruptive innovation will keep piracy in check. "Watching a movie on its release day on Fiber Net is like oxygen for a small movie. Small producers will definitely opt for this option. I think big producers will also come forward."

Producer C Kalyan said that the government's move will prove to be a boon for small producers. "People are getting used to watching movies on OTT. The Fiber Net platform will prove to be a boon for small producers. CM Jagan's vision is lofty," he added.
