Vijay Deverakonda, speaking at the Kushi Musical Concert on Tuesday, talked about Samantha Ruth Prabhu's battle with Myositis, the autoimmune disorder she has been suffering from.
"About 60% of the shoot of 'Kushi' was over by July 2022. We got to learn that Samantha would be unable to participate in the shoot. I and director Shiva Nirvana didn't know about her condition. We tried to convince her to face the camera. After she made her condition public, she stopped talking with us for months. She had her battles," Vijay said.
The actor added that Samantha is sensitive to light even now. "She is unwell even now. Prolonged exposure to lights leaves her with teary eyes and a headache," the 'Liger' star said.
Vijay added that Samantha going public about her health condition has inspired many who are battling health disorders. "After the pandemic, many are suffering from health issues," Vijay said.
