'Skanda', starring Ram Pothineni as the male lead, is going to head to the theatres on September 15. While Sree Leela is its heroine, Saiee Manjrekar of 'Major' fame has a prominent role as well. Boyapati Srinu on Saturday said that Saiee has got a surprise in store for the audience.
Saiee made her acting debut in 2019 in the Hindi-language film 'Dabangg 3'. Last year, she was seen in the Varun Tej-starrer 'Ghani', which turned out to be a disaster. The daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar (actor-director) is now waiting for 'Skanda' to do magic.
"I want to bring something to the table in the films that I do. My character has to mean something. If it is removed, is it going to change the texture of the story? That's a question I ask. I love challenging myself basically," she said in an exclusive chat with Ragalahari last year.
Saiee did land some offers from Telugu cinema after last year's 'Major'. But she rejected them because the scripts didn't excite her.
