Prabhas has always supported small movies whose intent is noble. 'Saachi' is the latest film to be backed by the pan-India superstar. Its trailer was released today by the 'Project K' actor ahead of the film's theatrical release on March 3.
In a statement, Vidatha Productions said that 'Saachi' intends to promote the cause of women's empowerment by basing its story on the life of a Nayee Brahmin girl named Bindu.
Produced by Upen Nadipalli and Vivek Pothagoni, the film is not a docudrama or an art film. As per the makers, it is a commercial film. The 'Salaar' star said that acting guru Satyanand is presenting the movie and his wishes are there with him and director-producer Vivek Pothagoni.
The film's early screening for some friends and community leaders has elicited positive feedback, the makers said.
Co-starring Sanjana Reddy, Geethika Rathan, Ashok Reddy Mulavirat, and others, this one has music by KV Bharadwaj.
