People Media Factory, which recently bankrolled Tollywood hits like 'Dhamaka' and 'Karthikeya 2', has announced a new film - this time in Kollywood. Titled ‘Vadakkupatti Ramasamy’, this one stars Santhanam as the hero.
For producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla, Kollywood is not new territory. They have already produced Shraddha Srinath's SonyLiv release 'Witness' and 'Saala'.
‘Vadakupatti Ramasamy’, which is their third film in Tamil, is going to be directed by Karthik Yogi of ‘Dikkiloona’ fame. Set to go on the floors this week, the film will hit the cinemas in April or May this year.
V Shree Natraj, Creative Producer, People Media Factory, said that the film is based on one of the popular characterizations of Kollywood veteran Goundamani. The film will rail against "superstitions".
A period comedy-drama, this one is also going to feature John Vijay, MS Bhaskar, Ravi Mariya, Maaran, Motta Rajendran, Nizhalgal Ravi, Seshu, and Jacqueline. Sean Roldan (music), Deepak (cinematography), and others are on board.
