The star heroine of the 1980s, Khushbu Sundar, was recently made a member of the National Commission for Women by the NDA government. She is currently in the news for making a shocking revelation about her past.
In an interview, the actress said that she was sexually abused by her father for about seven years. "I was sexually abused by my father since the age of eight and could speak up against him only after she turned 15," Khushbu has been quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
She suggested that her father was abusive towards her mother as well. He thought it was his birthright to abuse his wife, she added.
Meanwhile, the actress is taking the NCW role with conviction. "I shall strive hard to protect, preserve & nourish Nari Shakthi which is growing leaps & bounds under your leadership. Looking forward eagerly," the BJP leader from Tamil Nadu recently said.
