VK Naresh is Narendra, a Telugu superstar in 'Malli Pelli'. Pavitra Lokesh plays his co-star from Karnataka. The trailer traces the troubles in their married lives. If the male protagonist is unhappy with his third wife (Vanitha Vijaykumar), the female lead is leading a dissatisfied life with her husband (Ravi Varma).
It is no secret that 'Malli Pelli' mirrors the real life of Naresh and Pavitra. The infamous hotel episode was the height of the turmoil between them on the one hand and Naresh's third wife on the other hand. The trailer goes further in introducing Superstar Krishna (played by Sarath Babu).
Is Naresh going to tell his side of the story through the film? Director MS Raju doesn't want us to arrive at any conclusion. Naresh's character appears to be flirtatious and he even indulges in domestic abuse against his wife, who once degrades him by calling him an idiot. Jayasudha, Ananya Nagella, Annapoorna and others are part of the cast.
The romantic family drama will be released in theatres on May 26.
