Kannada actor Shivarajkumar's first pan-India flick is titled 'Ghost'. The high-octane heist thriller will head to the theatres on October 19 in Kannada but not in Telugu. Earlier, a simultaneous pan-India release was planned.
However, 'Ghost' hasn't found any takers in Telugu this Dasara. The distributors and exhibitors are busy wooing 'Bhagavanth Kesari', 'Leo' and 'Tiger Nageswara Rao'. Nandamuri Balakrishna, Thalapathy Vijay and Ravi Teja have ensured that 'Ghost' is absent from the box-office.
The Telugu release of 'Ghost' will happen on October 27. The lack of buzz for the action thriller in Telugu is telling. Directed by Srini, 'Ghost' is produced by Sandesh Nagraj. Arjun Janya is setting the songs to tune. Anupam Kher and Jayaram have key roles.
The pre-release promotional material released so far have contributed to the film's unpopularity in Telugu.
