'30 Years' Prudhviraj, who used to be one of the most sought-after comedians till a few years ago, has rarely been seen in notable movies lately. He is now in the news for making a social media post against a court order asking him to pay alimony to the tune of Rs 8 lakh per month to his ex-wife, Sree Lakshmi, whom he married way back in 1984. The estranged couple have a daughter and a son from their marriage.
Sree Lakshmi approached the court a few years ago, saying that she was abandoned by her husband in the year 2016. She sought divorce from him and was granted the same legally. In 2022, seeking alimony from Prudhviraj, she told the court that her husband makes as much as Rs 30 lakh per month and that she is therefore entitled to be paid an alimony to the tune of Rs 8 lakh per month.
Today, Prudhviraj cribbed that even the PM's relatives wouldn't be able to pay the huge sum. The issue has remained unmoved for the past one year.
