The trailer for 'Chandramukhi 2' was released today by Lyca Productions. The sequel's story traces events that happened 17 years after the ghost of Chandramukhi was neutered in the Rajinikanth-Jyothika starrer. Kangana Ranaut now plays the titular role and she is expected to out-perform the film's hero, Raghava Lawrence.
Director P Vasu adds the element of a royal man's 200-year-old 'paga'. The revenge element necessitates a battle that looks amateurish in the trailer. One hopes the period portions, set in a bygone era, are not stretched out in the movie.
Raghava Lawrence's trailers usually come with a certain energy. Strangely, this trailer lacks it. The trailer for a classic film is expected to be top-notch. This one barely meets the high expectations of the audience.
Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh and others are part of the cast. Music is by MM Keeravani. The action choreography is by Ravi Varma, Kanal Kannan, Stunt Siva, and Om Prakash. Edited by Anthony, the film's art direction is by Thota Tharrani.
