The 2014 horror-comedy movie 'Geethanjali' starred Anjali in the lead. The film fetched her a Nandi Award for Best Actor (Female) category. Its sequel has been long in the waiting. Finally, nine years after its release, its sequel has come to fruition.
The movie's sequel, titled 'Geethanjali Malli Vachindhi', was launched today in Hyderabad. The film, directed by Shiva Turlapati, is presented by Kona Venkat on Kona Film Corporation and bankrolled by MVV Satyanarayana of MVV Cinemas. "Geethanjali is back with a vengeance. A spine-chilling thriller it is," the makers said. The phrase 'Malli Vachindhi' conjures up the image that she the ghost is back with more ferocity.
With music composed by Praveen Lakkaraju, the film will be shot by Sujatha Siddharth. Co-written by Bhanu Bogavarapu, the film also features Srinivas Reddy, Satya and Satyam Rajesh.
As for Anjali, she is currently also doing Vishwak Sen's 'Gangs Of Godavari'.
