'Mathu Vadalara 2' is directed by Ritesh Rana, whose first two films were 'Mathu Vadalara' (2019) and 'Happy Birthday'. The latter, released in theatres in 2022, was a disaster. Chaotic, overcooked and somewhat messy, the surreal crime comedy's nutty characters were barely rib-tickling. The scenes involving Vennela Kishore and Gundu Sudarshan alone worked for the audience. The rest of the film was depressingly bad.
The Teaser of 'Mathu Vadalara 2' suggests that the film is a madcap comedy in the zone of 'Happy Birthday', which is why doubts about its promise arise. 'Mathu Vadalara 2' could enjoy good openings at the box office upon its release on September 13 because it is a sequel to a hit movie. But the Teaser, instead of reminding the audience of the first part, reminds them more of 'Happy Birthday'. The buddy cop comedy's Trailer needs to go the extra length now.
Starring Sri Simha, Satya, Vennela Kishore and Sunil, 'Mathu Vadalara 2' is produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers. Its music is by Kaala Bhairava.
