Allu Arjun sent to 14 days judicial custody

The Nampally Court on Friday ordered 14 days of judicial custody for Allu Arjun, Accused No. 11 in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. As is known, he was taken into custody by the Chikkadapally police earlier today.

A woman named Revathi died in a stampede during Bunny's visit to Sandhya Theatre on December 4th night. Her husband, Baskhar, lodged a police complaint against the actor and the theatre management. An FIR was filed based on his complaint.

On Friday, hours after Allu Arjun's arrest, the woman's husband stated that he is ready to withdraw his police complaint.

Permission sought but denied?

On December 2nd, Allu Arjun had sought police permission to visit the theatre. In a request letter, the actor's team sought the deployment of police personnel at the theatre. As per the Public Prosecutor, the actor was informed about the inability to provide the force. The local SHO allegedly informed the same. As per the PP, the actor shouldn't have visited the theatre following the intimation. The court has asked for relevant documents from the PP.

Niranjan Reddy, an Advocate who also happened to produce Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya', appeared as Allu Arjun's defence lawyer.

Megastar Chiranjeevi and the newly-appointed AP Minister Naga Babu stood in solidarity with Arjun's family. At the time of writing, unconfirmed media reports stated that AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan would be reaching Hyderabad to meet Allu Aravind
