Surbhi Puranik has been roped in for a medium-range role in Megastar Chiraneevi's 'Vishwambhara'. The actress has famously acted in Nani's 'Gentleman', the comedy entertainer 'Beeruva' and the 2016 hit 'Express Raja'.
Chiru's fantasy entertainer is directed by Mallidi Vassishta of 'Bimbisara' fame. He roped in Surbhi because she fits the character of a celestial being he has in mind. After films like 'Okka Kshanam' failed to do well in Telugu, Surbhi chose to work more in other industries. 'Vishwambhara' is her first major Telugu film in years.
The film features Trisha Krishnan as the main female lead. Comedian Vennela Kishore, who will be seen in the detective comedy 'Chaari 111' on March 1, has a key role in the movie.
'Vishwambhara', whose music is by MM Keeravani, will head to theatres on January 10, 2025.
