A day before the theatrical release of 'Gangs Of Godavari' on May 31, Vishwak Sen and producer S Naga Vamsi interacted with the Tollywood media in Hyderabad. They iterated that the film is worthy of being watched with one's family.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishwak Sen said, "There are only a couple of cuss words in the movie and even those are limited to the trailer. Since we have muted expletives, the CBFC accorded us a UA certificate. The strong language was shown in the trailer with the intention of conveying the emotional intensity of the characters to the audience. At first, I used to believe that 'GoG' was exclusively meant for youths. After watching the final version, I am convinced that this is a family-friendly movie. While being commercial, there is a place for novelty in the movie. I am pretty confident that 'GoG' will go down as a memorable film in my career. I have spoken in the Godavari slang. I have done everything in my capacity to ensure that I get the slang right. Since I hail from Telangana, I have been seen as someone who is capable only of dialects from this State. But that's not true. I won't disappoint the audience. If this film has a sequel, I will act in it for sure. The pre-interval fight is so intense that even the absence of BGM and slow-motion for half its running time is not going to affect your satisfaction."

Producer Naga Vamsi said that the obsession with the cuss words shown in the trailer is not right. "The male lead hails from a slum in the movie. That's why his language is raw. The slum-dweller from Godavari uses politics as a crutch to grow in life. That's the gist of the story. Lankala Ratna is his name and his character carries so much emotional heft. Vishwak's performance is top-notch. After this, it will be 'Before GoG' and 'After GoG' for him. His performance in his previous movies was a mere trailer. You are going to witness the zenith of his performance in 'GoG'. Yuvan Shankar Raja's music has been a hit. He was director Krishna Chaitanya's choice," the producer said.
