Theatres were left high and dry for most part of the Summer season. The May 31st release, 'Gangs Of Godavari', offered reprieve to a large extent. With single screens doing well in the Telugu States on the opening day, the team of the film expressed joy at a presser on Friday.

Vishwak Sen said that he has acquired an image for choosing versatile subjects. "Like 'Gaami' and 'GoG', my upcoming movies, too, are going to be different," the actor said. He found fault with an alleged organized campaign to downgrade 'GoG' on BookMyShow. "Negative reviews have been written by those who have yet to watch our movie. Regardless of such a campaign to tarnish our film, the audience are giving us a thumbs-up," Vishwak Sen said.

Krishna Chaitanya said that the response has made everyone so happy. "The youths are loving the action sequences and the dialogue. Even women audiences are enjoying our movie. The emotional quotient in the second half has been particularly liked by the audience. Distributors have been calling us from different territories. Their feedback has been unanimously positive since morning. We are going to make a sequel to 'GoG'," the director added.
