Yuddham Sharanam is a crime thriller, how does it feel?
This is my first time with this genre. Though the film is a thriller, you will get to see romance, family emotions also in the film. Every 10 minutes after the first half you will be seeing a new twist.
This means there is lots of action than your previous films?
I do not want to tell much about the film. But yes there is an important fight sequence just before the climax. But more than that there is lot more. It is an intelligent film I would say.
Can you elaborate on the intelligent part?
In YS, I am a drone maker. The second part of the film happens in 24 hours. I am sure this will be loved by the youth audiences. You will get to see many twists in the film.
How did the team prepare for this film?
We had a perfect pre-production work done. The film was shot in about 60 days. This was because all the work was done in the pre-production stage itself. So everything was easy.
What went into shooting this difficult genre?
Pre-production was thorough, which is why we didn't take more than 60-65 days to complete the shooting. Improvisation were done in pre-production stage itself.
Director Marimuthu is your friend, are you launching him here?
I am not launching anyone. I have not done this film for him. It is my wish to do a different kind of film and to work with my friend. The final product surely will be different when you work with your best pal.
Tell us about Lavanya Tripati?
She is a good actress. She has already acted with my father and Srikanth as well. Working with her was a nice experience. She will be seen in every scene in the second half.
Coming to your wedding, Nagarjuna gaaru says that he will be a guest at your wedding!
Haha…the wedding will happen on the 6th of October as per Telugu traditions and on the 7th of October it will be a Christian wedding. Dad will be throwing a grand reception in Hyderabad.
Future projects?
From September 20th I will start working in Chandoo Mondeti’s Savyasachi. It is an unusual film. The title means ‘ambidextrous’. The man’s left hand is strong than his right. Also there is no brain coordination for the left hand. About Maruthi’s film, I am yet to hear the story.
