Tell us about Majili?
I was impressed with Shiva's work after seeing Majili. I spoke to him and asked if he could prepare a script for me. He wrote Majili and reverted back. This is how this film happened.
Was Samantha your preference?
No. She was Shiva's preference. He felt that she will be able to do justice to this film. We play roles that are poles apart. I have loved her performance. She is superb and you just need to see her performance in the film.
Does she overpower you in the film?
Yes she does. I have felt it so many times during the shoot. It has helped my performance in the film as well. My wife is a great performer and it was very challenging to act with her in this film.
Shiva Nirvana says that Majili is your best till date...
Even I feel so. Shiva is a great director. His narration is great and his characters are very strong. We shared a great actor-director relation. I am sure my performance will be appreciated in this film.
