Gautami Tadimalla enjoyed working on 'Anni Manchi Sakunamule', which hits the cinemas on May 18. In this interview, she talks about her character, her journey so far, and making a comeback. "People ask me about the director (Nandini Reddy) and the producers being female. I never go by the gender. Gender and competency needn't be seen as interrelated," Gautami says.
"When producer Swapna Dutt called me up and told me only I can do the role in 'AMS', it revived my passion to take up acting after a gap. That's what brought me back on set," Gautami says. Gouri Kishan about 'Sridevi Shoban Babu', her journey since '96' and more
Gouri Kishan was seen as the young Jaanu in Sharwanand-Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Jaanu' (2020). Earlier, she played Trisha Krishnan's young version in '96' (2018).
'Sridevi Shoban Babu', starring Santosh Shoban in the lead, is her first full-fledged Telugu movie. Seen also in 'Karnan' and 'Master' in Tamil, Gouri has also done a Tamil-language anthology movie titled 'Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa'. On OTT, 'Paper Rocket', released last year on ZEE5, is her first outing.

Gunasekhar about 'Shaakuntalam', Samantha and more
"If you can't afford it, don't try to mount visual extravaganzas. The audience want a bang for the buck and nothing less," says director Gunasekhar ahead of the theatrical release of 'Shaakuntalam'. This April 14th, says the 'Okkadu' maker, the audience will appreciate the quality of computer graphics and VFX in the movie. He suggests that the CG aspect of his movie is of high quality, citing 'RRR' as a film that matches Samantha Ruth Prabhu's movie in terms of earnest effort.
