Ram Charan's project 'Zanjeer' was the remake of Amitabh's 1973 'Zanjeer'. Lead roles of Amitabh and Jaya Bachaan are now played by Ram Charan and Priyanka. Sonu Sood was picked up for an important role in the film. Unfortunately, he met with major leg injury while playing Celebrity Cricket League 3 (CCL3) in Dubai. Later, he was shifted to Leelavathi hospital in Mumbai. Major surgery was made to him as it was a serious leg fracture. His health condition is fine now and he is responding well to the treatment. Doctor warned him to take complete bed rest. Unless leaving this chance, he doesn't have another option. So, without the second thought film makers approached Real Star Sri Hari to act in this film. Unmissable golden chance was grabbed by Sri Hari.
‘Zanjeer’ is being shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. Apoorva Lakia handling the direction category in Hindi and Yogi is supervising the Telugu Version. Film makers are planning to release the film on May 10, 2013.
