Vishal’s ‘Kathakali’ is coming to the audience on January 22. On the eve of film’s release, the film unit has arranged press meet on Jan 21 in Hyderabad. Mass Hero Vishal, who carved a special mass image for himself by scoring consecutive commercial successes with the films like ‘Pandem Kodi’, ‘Pogaru’, ‘Bharani’, ‘Pooja’, ‘Maga Maharaju’ and ‘Jayasurya’, is coming to the audience with another mass entertainer ‘Kathakali’. Hero Vishal is producing the film on his own banner Vishal Film Factory under Pandiraj’s direction.
On the eve of film’s release, hero and producer Vishal said, “’Kathakali’ is another different commercial entertainer in my career. Tamil version was released on Jan 14 as Sankranti treat and the Telugu version is coming on Jan 22. By seeing the title don’t reckon it as a dance related film. It’s a different thriller. Director Pandiraj has handled the script wonderfully. So far, he has directed successful children’s films. For the first time he has directed an action entertainer. Second half which is 57 min duration will leave the audience in seat edge with a murder mystery. Director Pandiraj has crafted the film based on a real incident that happened to his friend. The film which was made as a full length mass entertainer will stand out as another hit in my career. Telugu people will like the film for sure.”
On this occasion, Hiphop Tamizha said, “my actual name is Aadi. This is my fourth film. ‘Kthakali’ is relaisng in Telugu after ‘Magamaharaju’. The film has two songs and two themes. Background score has got good response. In Telugu, I’m providing music for Ram Chanran and Surendar Reddy combination film.”
Director Pandiraj said, “After ‘Pasanga-2’ with Surya, I did ‘Kathakali’. Both became big success in Tamil and both are releasing in Telugu. This is my first action thriller which I have directed. The film has got good appreciations from Tamil audience. I’m sure the film will impress Telugu audience also.”
Catherine, Madhusudan and Satru and some other film unit embers were present at the press meet.
