Shankar is an expensive director. He makes big budget films and sometimes the budget shoots up like anything.
His last outing was 2.0, which was made on a whopping budget of Rs 450 Cr. The film did not collect all that money that was put into its making.
Shankar and Kamal Haasan recently launched the film Bharateeyudu 2. The shooting happened for some days and it was stopped.
Now the producers of this film do not want to take chances. They know that it’s difficult to clip Shankar when it comes to budget. But they have made him sign a budget pact. Shankar clearly cannot overshoot the said budget. We will have to wait and see if this is a good move.
