Though many expected that the release of 'Chanakya' would be postponed after the blockbuster response to 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy', the makers of the Gopichand starrer are hellbent on releasing the film on 5th October. Apparently, they don't want to miss out on the festive season and the film will release as planned.
Team 'Chanakya' exudes confidence over the spy thriller. Directed by Thiru, 'Chanakya' has been produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner.
The question is, will a spy thriller draw audiences to the theaters during this season, where family entertainers are mostly preferred? "Though 'Chanakya' is a spy thriller, it caters to all sections of the audiences.The film has good elements to entertain the family audiences. Moreover, if a film is good, no matter what the genre is, audience come to the theaters", Gopichand says when asked about the same.
We will have to wait and see how 'Chanakya' performs at the box-office this season withstanding 'Sye Raa' storm.Mehreen is the female lead in this movie.Sunil will be seen in a comic role.
