'Gangubai Kathiawadi' marks the coming together of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time since 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. Starring Alia Bhatt as the protagonist, the film will see the 'Tanhaji' star in a significant role in this unique story.
The 'MayDay' actor will start shooting for the movie from today. He will join the unit on a grand set erected in Mumbai.
Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, the film will release in theatres on July 30. It's based on a book written by Husain Zaidi.
