'Shikaaru' is an upcoming comedy entertainer starring Sai Dhansika of 'Kabali' fame in the central role. She is a housewife who enters into an extra-marital relationship with a male friend. She almost gets caught red-handed by her cop-husband (Kishore of 'PSV Garuda Vega') and her relatives (comprising the likes of Annapurnamma and Surekha Vani). The film is a comedy of errors also featuring Abhinav Medisetty, Tej Kurapati, Dheeraj Aathreya, Navakanth and others.
Produced by Banner: Sri Sailakshmi Creations' PSR Kumar and directed by Hari Kolagani, the film's trailer was released today at an event in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, star director VV Vinayak recalled his association with producer PSR Kumar, who as a distributor had bought 'Aadi' for a good price after watching just two scenes. "Such was his confidence in the movie's commercial calibre," Vinayak said.
Chammak Chandra, the comedian, has a comical role in the movie. "My character brings about a twist," he said. Lyricist Bhaskarabhatla said that he has penned the lyrics in keeping with the spirit of the story.
Director Hari said that Vinayak blessing the team at the event feels great. He added that 'Shikaaru' is a full-fledged entertainer.
With cinematography by Vasili Shyam Prasad, the film is edited by Venkateswara Rao Srungavarapu. Shekar Chandra has composed the music, while dialogues are by Vishwa Karun. Art Direction is by Sharmila Yelisetty.
