Director Ritesh Rana's 'Happy Birthday' is heading to the theatres on July 8. The Lavanya Tripathi-starrer is a surreal madcap comedy entertainer. Produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers, the film also stars Vennela Kishore, Satya, Naresh Agastya and Gundu Sudarshan.
The news is that a party song described as the only legal party song of the year is out. The Kaala Bhairava composition is new-age, while the crooning by Damini Bhatla is appealing. Kittu Vissapragada has written the lyrics.
In a recent interview, director Rana said that the film adopts a chapter-wise narration. "Each chapter explores a certain genre of comedy. Visual comedy, parodic comedy, sarcastic comedy and slapstick comedy are what you will see in each of them. Despite being a non-linear screenplay, the film doesn't confuse the audience. The screenplay is atypical and yet everything is clear-cut. Each of the chapters has a different colour palette: Neon, blue, brown, etc," the filmmaker added.
