The success event of 'Vikram' was held on Saturday in the presence of the film's core team and guests such as Rana Daggubati.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan expressed his joy over the collaboration with Nithiin's Sreshth Movies for the Telugu release. In his speech, he made a mention of Nithiin and Sudhakar Reddy, the latter's father. "The publicity has been huge and the scale of release very big because of them. When I sold the movie to Sudhakar Reddy garu, I told him I was putting my baby in his hands. Lokesh Kanagaraj was given an opportunity because I loved 'Khaidi'. I am surprised that 'Vikram' has become this big a hit," Kamal said.
Kamal also mentioned the chief guest Rana in his speech. He also praised the film's core technical team, especially music director Anirudh and cinematographer Girish Gangadharan. "It was with 'Maro Charitra' that I acquired a star status. I will always be indebted to the Telugu audience for it. Cinema is a global language. The success of 'Vikram' across languages proves that," he added.
Director Lokesh said, "I thank Rana for gracing this occasion. We were confident that 'Vikram' would become a big hit. But we didn't expect this sort of success."
Rana said, "This is the first film in a long time that I watched in both Telugu and Tamil. Director Lokesh has portrayed Kamal garu in a cool manner."
Producer Sudhakar Reddy said, "'Vikram' is reaching the top because of the depth of its content. This is the highest grosser in Kamal Haasan garu's career. I thank the audience for handing over this range of success."
