Earlier this week, superstar actress Alia Bhatt announced her pregnancy. She has been married to actor Ranbir Kapoor. The 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' actress is currently in London shooting for a film. Media reports have claimed that she will soon be picked up by her husband after she completes her current work assignment. The reports also stated that Alia wants to stop doing film-related assignments from July and till a few months after delivery.
The reports have irked the 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' actress, who took to Instagram and called out the media's "patriarchal" thinking. She asked if the media has got doctor-certified reports that talk about her need to take rest.
"We still live in some patriarchal world. Nothing has gotten delayed. No one needs to pick anyone up. I am a woman, not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all but good to know you will have a doctor's certification as well. This is 2022. Can we please get out of this archaic way of thinking?" Alia wrote.
The actress is currently in London to shoot for 'Heart Of Stone', which is her Hollywood debut. Besides this project, she is also doing 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'.
