'Nathicharami' is an upcoming thriller directed by former journalist Nagu Gavara. Fronted by Arvind Krishna, Poonam Kaur and Sandesh Buri, the film is all set to stream on 20 OTT platforms (including Amazon Prime) from March 10. Also featuring Kavitha, Madhavi, Jayasri Rachakonda, Krishna, and Sathanna, the film has cinematography by Mahi Sherla.
On Tuesday, at a presser held to announce the release, the makers talked about the film at length. "The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video, Hungama, Sony, Tata Sky, Airtel Xtreme, MX Player and others," the producers said.
Poonam Kaur stated that the story of the film is close to her life. "Middle-class women come with a lot of dreams. But not everyone is lucky to realize them. Despite the setbacks, they should be undeterred. They must march ahead with a fighting spirit," she said, adding that 'Nathicharami' is a crime-based family drama.
Director Nagu Gavara said, "Our movie is about what a family had to go through because of the Y2K crisis. This is a family drama with crime at its centre. The script is based on true incidents." He revealed that he could think only of Poonam for the wife's role in the movie. "Her character will haunt you. Arvind Krishna has played a man named Prabhakar. His performance is subtle," he noted.
Arvind Krishna of 'Rishi' fame said, "'Nathicharami' is a pack of neatly-etched scenes. The viewers will surely relate to the movie. Poonam Kaur has worked really hard."
Jayasri Rachakonda, who has a key role in the movie, said, "This is a women-centric movie that is rich in content. We are confident about scoring a hit."
