'Valimai', starring Ajith in the lead, started streaming on ZEE5 from March 25. The news is that the action thriller has mopped up 100 million streaming minutes in little time. This makes it one of the biggest post-theatrical OTT releases in the history of Indian cinema.
Also, 'Valimai' has managed the biggest-ever opening in the history of ZEE5. "The film's content, Ajith's stardom, and H Vinoth's direction have made this possible," the platform said in a statement.
Written and directed by H. Vinoth, the film is produced by Boney Kapoor of Bayview Project LLP in association with Zee Studios.
The film was released in theatres on February 24. Its OTT streaming is happening in multiple languages.
