Natural Star Nani’s 'Dasara' has turned out to be his career's biggest hit. After successfully grossing Rs 38 Cr on its first day, the period action drama added another Rs 15 Cr on its second day. This brings the total to Rs 53 Cr. At the time of writing, 'Dasara' grossed $1.2 Million in the US (as of Saturday noon time IST).
Distributors and exhibitors are expecting Day 3 (Saturday) and Day 4 (Sunday) to be highly encouraging, undoing some of the drop that was witnessed on Day 2. "The positive word of mouth and a lack of competition that can challenge 'Dasara' are the biggest upsides," a source says.
Celebs such as Mahesh Babu have gloriously endorsed 'Dasara', which is directed by newcomer Srikanth Odela. Everyone associated with the movie is receiving accolades. For music director Santhosh Narayanan and cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, they Tollywood career has received a huge fillip.
