Natural Star Nani has proved his BO mettle in association with debutant director Srikanth Odela with Dasara. The film, which was released in theatres on March 30 (Thursday), grossed Rs 38 Cr worldwide on its first day.
The period action drama is not only Nani's biggest opening film thus far but is also producer Sudhakar Cherukuri's first hit. The banner SLV Cinemas has received a huge shot in the arm, something it will continue to cherish for a long time.
"The craze for our movie also paid off with the domestic and overseas markets reporting record footfalls on day one," the makers said in a statement.
Starring Keerthy Suresh as the heroine and Shine Tom Chacko as the villain, the film crossed the coveted $1 million mark from premiere and first day in the US.
The collections on Friday, which is its day 2, are awesome in the Telugu States and the US as well.
