Shah Rukh Khan goes berserk in the trailer for 'Jawan'. Ahead of the movie's release on September 7, its trailer was released today by Red Chllies Entertainment. The trailer was out in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. "Of Justice & A Jawan. Of Women & their Vengeance. Of a Mother & A Son. And of course, a lot of Fun!!! Ready Ahhh!!! (sic)," wrote SRK, plugging the trailer.
Vijay Sethupathi's negative character is expected to become the X factor. For a change, he is not the first but the fourth largest arms dealer in the world. Deepika Padukone and SRK have a fight-off. The former is playing a special cameo. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover are part of the cast.
The trailer is receiving mixed reviews. The writing appears bland but the action extravaganza is going to make all the difference. "This looks AMAZING. Like a sprawling, decade-spanning, action epic that utilizes SRK to the maximum. Also, if the plot is what I think it is, it can end up being pretty, pretty spectacular," wrote a Twitter user.
There is this hope that director Atlee has nailed it somehow although the storyline looks formulaic and some of the elements seem outdated. "People connected with Sunny Deol's 'Gadar' to an extent. The movie turned critic-proof and became a movement. 'Jawaan' looks full mass as expected. It just needs to have a decent story that connects with the mass audience," a Netizen commented.
