'Writer Padmabhushan' is all set to be released by Geetha Film Distributors on February 3 in theatres. On Friday, Chai Bisket Films and Lahari Films unveiled its trailer.
The film features Suhas of 'Colour Photo' fame in the role of a writer who pretends to be a talented novelist who is yet to get his first break in the world of literature. A young girl (Tina Shilparaj) takes interest in him and eventually falls in love. After their wedding, the male lead's best-kept secret is out. He has a skeleton in the cupboard: he is not a novelist and has been hoodwinking people all along.
Directed by newcomer Shanmukh Prasanth, the film features Ashish Vidyarthi as the male lead's middle-class father who takes pride in saving tiny amounts month after month. His mother, played by Rohini Molleti, is typically in love with TV serials.
Also starring Goparaju Ramana and Sri Gouri Priya, the film has got music by Shekar Chandra and Kalyan Nayak. Venkat R Shakamuri is its cinematographer.
