Lyca Productions and Rajinikanth have reunited once again after ‘2.0’ and ‘Darbar’. The production house today announced that the legendary's 170th film will be bankrolled by them and that it will head to the theatres in 2024.
The untitled film, to be made as a realistic film with commercial ingredients, will be directed by TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame.
Produced by Subaskaran, Thalaivar170 will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously belted out tunes for Rajinikanth's 'Petta' as well.
Rajini's next theatrical release is 'Jailer', to be released in Summer. He is also playing an extended special role in 'Laal Salaam', directed by his daughter Aishwarya.
As for Lyca Productions, its magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' will be released in theatres on April 28.
