The teaser for 'Virupaksha' was released today weeks ahead of the film's theatrical release on April 21. The pan-India film has its screenplay written by star director Sukumar. Director Karthik Dandu sets 'Virupaksha' in 1990s when a village in a thick forest faces a crisis.
The teaser goes into establishing the confounding nature of the crisis. Sai Dharam Tej steps up and decides to be that daredevil guy determined to defeat evil.
Sai Chand of 'Fidaa' fame is back in action. He plays a pious man of religion. While the teaser doesn't show anything much about any other character, it convinces us that the mystical thriller knows what it wants to say. Sukumar's screenplay seems to be coherent, although we have to wait for the trailer to help us make better sense of the film.
With music and cinematography by B Ajaneesh Loknath and Shamdat, respectively, the film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
