Raj Tarun has joined hands with Sri Sridevi Productions for a movie titled 'Purushottamudu'. Produced by Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat, the film will be directed by Ram Bhimana. Hasini Sudheer has been roped in for the female lead's role.
Speaking on the occasion, the director said that producers Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat have been settled in Mumbai although they have a strong Telugu background. "They greenlit the story because they remember their roots. An apt technical team has been put in place. Gopi Sundar and PG Vinda have been enlisted for the music and cinematography departments," he added.
The film's cast members have been drawn from multiple languages. To be shot in Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, and Kerala, the regular shoot will be kicked off on June 1.
"Along with complete entertainment, our film is strongly grounded in good family drama and emotions," said Raj Tarun. Gopi Sundar, known for biggies like 'Geetha Govindam' and the recent '18 Pages', will be readying six situational songs for the movie. Almost every song in 'Purushottamuu' is going to be a melody.
The movie will be made on a high budget. Everyone is clued into what is expected of them. For one, the heroine Hasini has learned Telugu even though she is from Mumbai. She is a trained actress as well.
Cinematographer PG Vinda said, "Cinematography, music, and story are quite important for the lead pair to look good." The director of photography suggested that the director and the producers are making sure that every technical department gets its act together.
With lyrics written by Ramajogaiah Shastry, Chandrabose, and Poorna Chari, the film is going to be edited by Marthand K Venkatesh. If the action choreography is by Prudhvi, the film has the screenplay by the director himself.
