Lord Hanuman's imagery has been used time and again in our films. His larger-than-life statues and portraits have been used to lend a touch of muscularity to the male lead's character.
The makers of 'Selfish' do much the same. Marking Hanuman Jayanti, Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and Sukumar's Sukumar Writings unveiled a special poster in which lead man Ashish is seen in a dancing pose in front of a Hanuman statue. "May Lord Hanuman's blessings be with you always, guiding you through life's challenges and triumphs," the makers wrote.
Director Vishal Kasi has cast Ivana of 'Love Today' fame as the female lead. Manikandan S is its director of photography. The music department is helmed by Mickey J Meyer, whose 'Dil Kush' from the movie was released recently.
The film, to be released in theatres in July or August, is currently being shot in Hyderabad.
