Chiranjeevi indirectly mocked Rajinikanth: Netizens

In a video that has surfaced on social media, Chiranjeevi is heard saying that he doesn't like his films to be saved by the background music. "At times, I am tempted to just arrive on sets, wear make-up and take my remuneration. The rest can be taken care of by BGM. Elevations would be assured. But that's not my thing. Unless I physically exert myself and do tough dances and fights, the audience won't be satisfied, my producer won't be satisfied, and I won't be satisfied," the Megastar said.

Recently, Rajinikanth happened to say that 'Jailer' appeared not-so-good to him until Anirudh Ravichander changed the film's mood and elevated its level with his inimitable BGM. Rajini didn't have to do much in that film, to be frank. His swag did all the magic.

Netizens are speculating that Chiru was indirectly hitting out at Rajini's so-called luck with 'Jailer'. Some Twitter users have been reminding him that his performances have, in the past, been elevated by background scores. 'Indra' and 'Stalin' are among the major examples. So, it is not like only Rajini is fortunate in this area.

In India, superstar movies need rousing scores. It's the minimum expectation that the audience have. Those superstar movies with excellent scores are remembered for decades. Think of Rajini's 'Basha' and Chiru's 'Gang Leader'.
